Eraserhead (1977)

Dans une ville oppressante, Henry Spencer mène une vie sans histoire. Jusqu’au jour où sa femme Mary met au monde un bébé monstrueux, dont la tête difforme dépasse les langes, et qui pleure sans arrêt. A bout de nerf, Mary s’en va, et Henry se retrouve seul. Dans les moments de répit que lui laisse l’enfant tombé malade, il rêve devant son radiateur d’une femme au visage étrange qui chante une rengaine insipide. Revenant à lui, il décide d’en finir avec le bébé…

Eraserhead is a movie that is not for everybody. It is a daring movie that makes you think about life, death, and fatherhood. Unlike many movies that just tell a story, Eraserhead is a movie in which you HAVE to interpret what it means by yourself. It does not just give away what it is about like most films. This movie is very very very dark and scary. The first time I watched it, I had nightmares for nights and nights and nights. If you get very scared easily by images then I beg of you to not see this film. Eraserhead is one of a kind and will never be remade because it just cant be remade.
