Good list I like your choices, well except Raider Of the Lost Ark and Once We Were Warriors. BTW why is Part II rated better than the original (I'm talking about the Godfather)?

Not that I doubt your taste is sincere, but talk about going with the popular canon! Except where you don't - The Producers and Cinema Paradiso - those films are kinda on the lame side. I haven't seen The Petrified Forest though, so no comment there.

It's interesting that on this list of your 20 favourites, there are only 4 films that have been made in the last 30 years. Is there any particular reason for this trend?

I broke down..."Sunset Blvd." has joined my list, with the wonderful "Notorious" painfully missing the cut. If this list was out of 25, I would be a much more happy man.

I'm a huge Wilder fan. I think "Double Indemnity" is the greatest film noir ever made, and I'm still trying to find a place to put "Sunset. Blvd" on my list. I've seen a few of his other films, but there are so many great ones I still have to watch.

I haven't seen Oklahoma Kid, but I need to admit that I'm not a huge Cagney fan. I liked aspects of The Roaring Twenties and Angels With Dirty Faces, but overall, I wouldn't say I loved them. I still haven't seen White Heat though.
