I've learned about many a great film from the DVDBeaver site. It has been a huge influence on my movie collection and taste. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into the site! What a wonderful list you've got here, too. I still need to check out the Olmi, Powell and Pressburger, and Bresson titles you have listed.

I've just read your comment on Rosetta and it fired me up to go get it. I've been considering it for quite some time and always watched other films, so now I think I will buy it. I love La Promesse and Le Fils. And L'enfant is good too, what do you think of them?

bedsides I saw your fine collection of posters from the latest newsletter and I envy your La Notti Di Cabiria. Very nice. Personally, I got a big poster of Bleu and poster made of cardboard out of Le Mépris.

Thanks. You got yourself an excellent list here. I need to see Rosetta, Ordet, and Banshun most. I love dvdbeaver. One of the fiest sites on the web. What exactly do you do there?

Great list, Gary. I think it's safe to say that I've learned more from Dvdbeaver about film than my four years of film school at Southern Illinois University. You've turned me on to many a great film. Much respect.

Wait, are you the head of dvd beaver. I love your site. Its AMAZING. I visit all the time. I went region-free thanks to you. Some great stuff here. Of what I have seen, I love: 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, and 17. I also really like Vertigo, but need to see it again to decide whether I just really like it or perhaps might love it. I'm dying to see, among others: 1, 8, 11, 15, 16 and 19. Again, thanks for the wonerful site, and keep up the great work!

Hi Gary,
I'm a big fan of (and occasional patron of) DVDBeaver, which I use as my home page. I've been relying on your reviews there to help me build my DVD collection. I'll use your list here as suggestions for my Netflix queue. I'd appreciate any comments you may have on my list. Thanks for all you do for us....dc

Hi, as such a keen Rohmer enthusiast, I'm surprised to see only Le Rayon Vert finds a place here. No room for L'amour L'Apres Midi or La Femme de L'Aviateur? It's a great film though, one of his best for sure. Keep up the good work at DVDBeaver.

Great list - great site - great work there - and yes, I've donated a bit in the past - always willing to in the future if the need is great - are you ever going to redo the Top 100 favorite film list there? (I read the digests but never post - too shy). Cheers.

Nice list ;)

We only have 2.5% affinity at the moment (due to Ordet), but we do share a lot of directors. I am yet to see 1, 8, and 9 - they have entered my to-watch list.

Thanks for all the hard work you are doing on DVDBeaver.

Not a bad list at all, dude! I haven't seen your number one choice, but I am a fan of the Dardenne brothers, so I'm sure I'll check it out soon.

Thanks so much for DVDBeaver, guy, seriously.

A wonderful list, though I haven't seen everything on it yet. Personally, I think, that Wyler's "Dead End" is even greater than "the Best Years of Our Lives" =)

Oh, and btw: DVD Beaver rules!!

Great list Gary! Funny thing is that I think Rosetta is the least interesting film by the Dardennes, I feel The Son is even better. Always good to see films like Zerkalo, Ordet, Walkabout and Picnic at Hanging Rock. Keep up the good work @ DVDBeaver!
