Poll!!!

New Poll: What is your favourite dystopian film?
By dystopian film I mean one which portrays an imaginary world (often happening in a near or distant future), which shows a pessimistic view of humanity. For example, in literature, very popular dystopias are '1984' by George Orwell and 'A Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. Some dystopian films classify as sci-fi (like THX 1138), but often they deal with politically opressive regimes in real or imagined lands (e.g. V for Vendetta). Here's a list of dystopian films: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dystopian_films

yeah Pandora's Box really is a must see. It was banned for so long, up until the 60s...then it went to vhs....and has yet to come to dvd here in America. There's a Uk edition which I have yet to check out. I believe Kino is going to release it, but apparently there are some problems with the print. I know at one point, Criterion was considering putting it out. Oh well, I let you know when its released.

nice top 150. Thanks for linking it up a filmscope to your sig. You pretty much got everything I would of put down on it, except a few like Raiders of the lost Ark and Dead-Alive. Man, I take it that you haven't seen Andrei Rublev or Stalker. If that's the case, put those on the top of the list, Amazing!
