For those afraid to see this high energy modern rock sizzler, yes there is a the over popular YMDB gun worship in it.

Many films are made about musical geniuses after the career is over. This one was made just as Prince reached superstardom

Prince is so amazing. Now I am a die hard fan and I can admit okay maybe he's not the best actor but damn if you don't forget about that when you see him on that screen. He's perfect

This movie is one of the key moments of rock and roll history. Prince is finally being recognized as a modern day mozart and this film was the defining segment of his stranglehold of superstardom as one of the biggest ego's ever to hit the silver screen.

Had it not been for his (Prince's) insane control freak working environment, he might have gone on to make more films. These films would have had a great impact on music culture much like Elvis' films early on but rather he would go on to become one of the most talented and misunderstood musicians with artistic boundaries unchallenged. Those boundaries in his acting career were seen with his follow-up act.

I agree with chuck, it would be so good in the pictures again, as i wasn't around 2 see it there.
this film is a great watch, 1 of my all time favs, it deserves a better ranking than 1180

For the 20th anniversary of this movie.. I wish they would come out with the original cut that was shown in the theaters. The DVD is so chopped up and dry.
