To begin with, I absolutely love the ''Twin Peaks'' series.
However, as far as this movie is concerned, I think it's the most unnecessary (to put it mildly) piece of Lynch's filmography. It doesn't really add anything to the story or the characters as they were presented and established, it just s h o w s you what you already knew! If you watch it objectively, the question will inevitably come to your mind: did Lynch really make that film due to any kind of creative need, did this movie really have a purpose for existing or it's just that the money was good? You see, there just isn't any inspiration here! Talent, yes. Sporadic worthwile moments, yes. But no real inspiration. And we surely have learned to expect so much more from Lynch, haven't we?

I changed my mind. This is equal to Lost Highway, and in a lot of ways, it's Lynch's greatest film.
