Do you plan to see David Gordon Green's upcoming film Pineapple Express?
Jake Aesthete a écrit le 22 juin 2008
No, i haven't. I'm sort of hoping that maybe i'll get to see it in theaters. It seems like the kind of movie that would really benefit from that. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it in any case though.

Wow, you really loved News From Home. I like it though i find it slightly tedious. I really need to see more Akerman...

Right answer: Days of Heaven is #1. Solid list.

Thoughts on My Winnipeg?
Juan of God a écrit le 7 juin 2008
Has it been that long? Dunno. I'm not really around here anymore. This place has turned into a real shithole.
Juan of God a écrit le 3 juin 2008
Great stuff! Nice to see Silent Light make your list also.

Thanks! You’ve got a brilliant list as well. Love everything on here that I’ve seen. Also very jealous of all those 35mm prints you got to see. Andrei Rublev, Jeanne Dielmen, The Mother and the Whore, and all the Godards must have been amazing on a big screen.

I finallty got round to watching E. Elias Mehrige's "Begotten". Not sure how I felt afterwards but I had strange dreams all trhough the night (stranger than normal anyway). I understand the film is about birth and death, of earth and God perhaps, but I am yet to really understand the mesaage of the film if there is one. I am not saying there has to be a message, but just wondered what your thoughts were.

Why Franklin Hardesty allowed on this site when he post long meanless comments?
Bob Cummings a écrit le 15 mai 2008
I'm a commie fag and I don't think your list is great, except for Police Beat.
Franklin Hardesty a écrit le 12 mai 2008
If I was a commie fag, I'd think your list was great!

Yeah, Pialat's great. Of course, A nos amours is insanely great as is Loulou. I wasn't too crazy about Under the Sun of Satan when I first saw it, but I may like it more now. Yeah, I'd love to see his other films and their easily available but they all lack english subs. Do you think one could get through Naked Childhood without subs?
Jake Savage a écrit le 8 mai 2008
So how was the Mother and the Whore on 35mm? I'd have to think it is a revelation when compared to the sloppy VHS I've always watched.
Debanjan Ghosh a écrit le 8 mai 2008
thanks for the pointer; unfortunately I don't have a login for the site. But seems it is already available in KG
